I am a BACP registered and Accredited, and BICA accredited, Specialist and Generic Senior Counsellor with over 23 years of counselling experience.
After working for several years in the Mental Health field, I experienced restlessness and wanted to support people in a way that can bring about the change they needed. I trained as a therapist at the University of Salford and qualified in 2005 as a Person-Centered Counsellor.
Alongside my NHS counselling work, I spent many years working therapeutically within the Addiction and Dependency field. There I offered workshops on a range of issues, solution-focused approaches, working with people affected by drug and alcohol use to understand their use and work towards harm minimization and abstinence.
I continue to feel passionate about the work I do and value the therapeutic change the counselling provides. I have been blessed to be part of so many peoples Journeys and valued the trust placed in me over this time.

I have been fortunate to be in practice for over 23 years in the NHS. Here many of those years have been as a senior and specialist Counsellor providing counselling within the Staff Psychological Support and Occupational Health Services. This involved supporting NHS staff and professionals across a wide range of issues.
I also trained as a Specialist and Accredited Fertility Counsellor and practiced for many years in the specialty of reproductive services
I Continue my work in the NHS as a specialist Counsellor within the Obstetrics and Gynecology Division and have a crucial role in providing a patient counselling service aimed at supporting patients affected by Baby/ Pregnancy Loss, traumatic delivery, pre and postnatal depression and anxiety, pregnancy issues and neonatal mortality. I have a passion for women’s health and aim to continue to build on support offered.
I have enjoyed mentoring Trainee counsellors on clinical placement and newly qualified Counsellors into the professional field.
Person centered counsellor with over 23 years experience.
Specialized training in fertility, committed to ongoing professional development
Person-centered approach focused on your unique needs and goals
As a senior counsellor, I have experience in managing a small counselling team and mentoring. Supporting qualified counsellors through the BACP and specialist fertility counselling Accreditation processes.
I have valued working alongside Counselling Colleagues, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Health Professionals, Obstetrics and Gynecology teams and collaborative working with wider multi-disciplinary teams. I believe this has enriched my insight, knowledge, and experience.
My professional development has included learning more about other approaches and issues such as Focus Orientated Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Working with Couples, Trauma and Attachment, Bereavement and Loss, and Substance Misuse amongst others.
I now want to bring private practice into my working life, offering counselling support nationwide through virtual platforms including telephone and video call appointments. This gives enables clients to have more flexibility and allows Clients to attend from the comfort of your own private space.
I work with individuals, men, women, and couples. Whatever you are carrying, my role is to offer a safe and steady space where you can feel genuinely heard.
All sessions are currently held remotely by telephone or video call, which means you can access support from a place where you feel safe and comfortable, wherever you are in the UK. You can find full details of sessions and fees on the Services page.
I believe that everyone's experience is unique to them. What you are feeling makes sense, even when it feels confusing or hard to put into words, and you should never feel judged for it.
You are the expert on yourself, and I offer the safe space, experience, and the core conditions of the person Centered Approach to help you process what is troubling you. Together, we can begin to work towards resolving some of what you are facing or start the journey of healing and rebuilding.
There is no fixed formula. I will meet you where you are, and we will hopefully find a way forward at a pace that feels manageable for you.
Whilst some of the experiences have no fix, Counselling can offer the space to explore how this impacts you and understand your needs within this and bring about some positive change.
Therapy is a collaborative journey. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide guidance, support, and evidence-based tools to help you achieve your goals.
I believe in treating the whole person, considering how your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and physical well-being all interconnect to shape your experience.
Above all, my practice is built on creating a safe, confidential environment where you can express yourself freely without fear of judgment or criticism.
